Maisie came to me after I broke my own heart. I was fostering a dog with whom I’d formed a stronger bond than I realized. It didn’t hit me until after I allowed another family to adopt her.
Maybe I was on the rebound, but Maisie has become the backbone of our family. She’s my right-hand dog at home and on the road. She’s also my best girlfriend.
She performs in schools, nursing homes, festivals, and parades.
Her extraordinary emotional intelligence gives her uncanny tenderness and grace when interacting with the fierce dog in the neighborhood, the ewe in the pasture, the struggling child in school, and the patient in the hospital.
